Fun Things to Do on Your Mountain Vacations
Ahhhh, to soar with the eagles over the mountaintops. That’s the experience I get in the mountains.
Many say the mountains give them energy and a higher degree of spirituality. Many vacation in the mountains to escape from their frantic day-to-day lifestyle and relax, get a lot more balance, feel grounded and take pleasure in the magnificent views. I’d say all of these are true and a great reason to take your next getaway in the mountain tops.
Which are some fun adventures to do while you’re in the mountains?
It is possible to enjoy stunning walking trails, backpacking, a nice delightful picnic on a mountaintop at sundown near a stream, running at altitude aids your cardio training, biking amongst the tall trees, photography keeps your getaway memories forever, motorcycling through the stunning windy roads, swimming in alpine lakes, flying kites, basking in the warm sun sunbathing, strolling in the woods, identifying birds, trees, flowers & plants or collect healing natural herbs. Some mountain getaway leases have tennis, yoga or golfing as well. In the winter, it’s tremendously fun to snowshoe, ski, snowboard, cross-country ski, ice skate, play hockey, shovel snow, have a snowball fight, make a snowman or a snow angel …
If you’re indoors in the mountain retreat, cabin, condo or home, it is easy to take pleasure in reading, listening to the tranquility and quiet or birds chirping outside, draft a novel or poetry, paint a picture, view a great movie, get pleasure from a warm fire with a nice glass of wine or even take a long deserved nap.
